Day 01: Arrival in Beijing

Our professional Muslim expert tour guide will pick you up at Beijing capital international airport and transfer you to the hotel. Relax during the remainder of the afternoon and evening to recover from the jet lag.

Day 02: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Salat at Niujie Mosque, Temple of Heaven

You will start to explore Beijing from the largest city square in the world; the impressive Tiananmen Square. From there we will enter the imperial palace known as the Forbidden City to explore its many fascinating halls and pavilions. After prayer at Niujie Mosque you will visit the Temple of Heaven, the place where the Emperors worshiped the Heaven for good harvests. Later you will taste various kinds of Chinese tea at a local tea house.
Day 03: Great Wall of China, Jade Museum, Sacred Way of Ming Tombs

Today is going to be the highlight of your China tour, the climbing of the Great Wall of China. In 220 B.C., under Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of China, sections of earlier fortifications were joined together to form a united defense system against invasions from the north. In the afternoon you will visit the Sacred Way of Ming Tombs where you will learn the ancient Chinese Fengshui Theory. On the way to the Great Wall, you will make a stop at Jade Museum where you shall learn the ancient art of jade carving skills.
Day 04: Summer Palace, Fresh Water Pearl Shop, Fly to Urumqi

In the morning you go to visit the largest garden in the world, the Summer Palace. The Summer Palace first built in 1750, largely destroyed in the war of 1860 and restored on its original foundations in 1886, is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. After you will get to go shopping at fresh water pearl. Then you shall fly to Urumqi.

Day 05: Fly to Kashgar, Salat at Idkah Mosque, Great Bazaar

You will fly to Kashgar in the morning. Located in the extreme west of China, Kashgar is the Uyghur capital of whole Xinjiang. Upon arrival you will visit Abakh Hoja Mausoleum, the tomb of the Fragrant Concubine and her family and local Handicraft Street. After lunch you may perform Salat at Idkah Mosque. Built in 1442, the IdKah Mosque is the largest mosque in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, not to mention the whole of China. Later you will visit Kashgar Great Bazaar and the Ancient City of Kashgar. Once the largest merchandise distribution center for all Silk Route traders in Asia, the Great Bazaar offers great deals of goods, such as agricultural products, various local specialties, delicate handicrafts, daily commodities, fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of livestock and so on.

Day 06: Fly to Urumqi, Heavenly Lake

You will fly to Urumqi in the morning. Urumqi is the capital city of Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Then you will get driven to the Heavenly (Tianshan) Mountain to cruise on the beautiful Heavenly Lake. With Pine trees covering the hillsides and the snow capped mountains in the background, this huge lake (3km long and 1km wide) sits half way (560 ft) up the Heavenly (Tianshan) Mountain range and offers excellent walking with breathtaking views.

Day 07: Xinjiang Regional Museum, International Bazaar, Drive to Turpan

After breakfast at hotel you will visit the Xinjiang Regional Museum and Urumqi International Bazaar. Xinjiang Regional Museum is famous for its rich collections of silk artifacts, brocades from Eastern Han Dynasty, as well as all kinds of specialized silk-woven items from the Tang Dynasty. Drive to Turpan after Salat prayer at Shaanxi Mosque. Turpan survives with the assistance of Karez, covered water channels that bring melt-water from the Heavenly (Tianshan) Mountains to the north and west into the Turpan basin.

Day 08: Ancient City of Gaochang, Flaming Mountain, Emin Minaret, Karez Well

After breakfast, you will visit the Ancient City of Gaochang and Flaming Mountain. The ancient city of Gaochang was built of mud and adobe bricks thousands of years ago. The city was abandoned somewhat in history and what is left now is just ruins of the ancient temples, houses, palaces and the old city wall. After lunch you may perform Salat at Emin Minaret. This 40-meter-high brick minaret is part of a large mosque, built in 1778. Then We will visit the underground irrigation system of Karez. We will also visit a Uygur family to know Muslim Uygur people’s daily life and their customs.
Day 09: Bullet Train to Dunhuang,

Bullet Train to Dunhuang in the morning. Throughout Dunhuang’s history of over two thousand years, it has always served as a critical gateway leading to the west due to its unique geographical location at the juncture of Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang. After lunch and Salat at Dunhuang Mosque, you will visit the scenic Singing Sand Dunes, called by Marco Polo the rumbling sands and the Crescent Moon Lake in the afternoon.

Day 10: Maogao Caves, Flight to Xian

After breakfast at hotel you will visit the World Heritage Site of Mogao Caves. The Mogao Caves (also known as Dunhuang Grottoes) boast the largest collection of Buddhist grottoes in existence in China. Many of the 492 grottoes here date back as early as one thousand years ago (covering a period of ten dynasties). The most famous aspect of Dunhuang’s grottoes is the murals that feature Buddhist stories, folk culture, farming, hunting as their main themes. Afternoon flight to Xian, the ancient capital city of China as well as the starting point of the famous Silk Road.

After breakfast at hotel you will visit the world heritage site of Xian City Wall. Built in the Ming Dynasty between 1370-1387, the 12km long Xian City Wall is the best preserved city wall now in the world. Later you will visit the Terr Cotta Warriors reproduction factory and the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Terra Cotta Warriors of Emperor Qin Shihuang. It is a stunning exhibition of ancient artifacts that is well laid out and easy to view.
Day 12: Shaanxi History Museum, North Square of Big Wild Pagoda, Bell & Drum Tower Square, Great Mosque, Muslim Bazaar, Night Flight to Shanghai

You will visit the Shaanxi History Museum and North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the morning. Designed in China’s grand and elegant ancient Tang Dynasty style, Shaanxi History Museum is a tribute to Shaanxi’s glamorous imperial past. In the afternoon you will visit the Bell & Drum Tower Square. From the square, we will walk to one of the oldest mosques in China, Xian Great Mosque. The Muslim Bazaar outside the Great Mosque is a great place testing your bargaining skills where you can find almost anything you can think of. Then at night you shall fly to Shanghai.

Day 13: Yuyuan Garden, Chenghuanmiao Market, Silk Store, The Bund, Nanjing Road, People’s Square, Shanghai Museum

You will visit the Yuyuan Garden and its nearby Chenghuangmiao Market in the morning. Yuyuan Garden is an attractive labyrinth of over 30 Ming-dynasty pavilions built in 1577. Linking the pavilions are elaborate rockeries, arched bridges and carp-laden ponds. It is a fine spot for a gentle saunter after fighting our way through the markets stalls. In the afternoon you will stroll along the Bund and Nanjing Road to appreciate early 19th century European Style architectures. You shall also visit the People’s Square and one of the best museums in China, the Shanghai Museum.
Day 14: Departure from Shanghai

Transfer to the airport after breakfast at hotel for your departure flight. Tour ends at the airport.
