The UAE is in high demand with their relaxing beaches, desserts, delicious cuisines, breathtaking mosques, and all the luxuries needed to provide you with the perfect halal friendly getaway.

Flight time from the UK: A direct flight from London to Dubai is approximately just under 7 hours.

Local languages: Arabic is the national language of those that live within the UAE, however English is widely understood and spoken to at conversational level. Those visiting Dubai will have no problem making conversations in English as English is the most spoken language.

Eid - At the end of Ramadan, the cities of the UAE celebrate with parties and feasts. Both visitors and locals can share in the spoils as Dubai and Abu Dhabi throw social events for several days to mark the end of the Islamic fasting period.

National Day Festival – Celebrating the formation of the UAE and the independence of the region from Britain, National Day is celebrated across the country in December with joyful performances and events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Dubai Desert Classic – An annual event held at the Emirates Golf Club in March, where the best golfers from around the world make their way to Dubai, where the Desert Classic takes place.

Which airport will you fly in to: The airport you fly into within the UAE depends on which part of the UAE you’re visiting first. Most direct flights from the UK however will fly in to either Dubai International Airport or Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Must try food:

Al Harees - A famous dish of UAE with highly exotic taste. It is made up of meat and wheat and is a very simple and elegant dish with very few ingredients but with longer cooking duration.

Shawarma – This dish is the most eaten food across this country, and has become very popular in Asian countries. It can be made with lamb or chicken with different restaurants serving this dish in different manners. The most common ingredients are chicken or lamb with a mix of garlic sauce, pickles, fries and tomatoes wrapped in Arabic Roti.

Al Machboos – Another famous traditional dish of UAE is Al Machboos, a meaty yet tender meal. The important ingredients combined to produce this delicious dish are rice, meat, onion and dried lemon. Other seasoning includes spices and salt
