Marketing Executive 

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Type: Full Time – (one year rolling contract)
Salary: £21,000-£23’000 per annum depending on experience

Serendipity Tailormade is the leading halal friendly tour operator specialising in bespoke trips for Muslim travellers. Together with its sister brand Luxury Halal Travel, our young and vibrant company has been an integral part in the pioneering growth of the halal friendly travel industry. Serendipity Tailormade has been growing year on year and now offers travel to more than 30 destinations worldwide.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for travel, with an outgoing personality to showcase their marketing communication skills to our audience. The role encompasses a hands-on approach where the candidate will be involved in but not limited to the following;

  • Responsible for supporting the annual marketing plan and activity
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of email marketing campaigns
  • Manage the company’s social media profiles and video platforms
  • Work in conjunction with the SEO team on organic and PCC advertising
  • Work with the web development team to deliver engaging content
  • Liaise with business partners (airlines, hotels and destinations) to obtain content to deliver on marketing activities
  • Manage and deliver communications to the company’s client database
  • Monitor campaign results and report on a monthly basis
  • Participating and support industry events and exhibitions
  • Be integral to the production of the in-house magazine
  • We are looking for individuals who are creative, a team player and have a passion for travel. In addition, excellent communication and copywriting skills is paramount.

The candidate must:

  • Ideally educated to degree level (or in the process of studying for a relevant degree) with a minimum 2:1 in a marketing or equivalent subject
  • Have 3 A Level qualifications at grade C or above.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have excellent organisational skills
  • Have a flair for creativity and willing to learn new techniques
  • Proficient IT skills on Mac systems as well as MS Office and be comfortable learning new programmes
  • Have an interest and passion for travel
  • Experience in creating, managing and delivering marketing campaigns will be desirable

Sales Executive 

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire

Salary: £18’000 per annum + commission (OTE £22,000+)

Together with its sister brand Luxury Halal Travel, our young and vibrant company has been an integral part in the pioneering growth of the halal friendly travel industry. Serendipity Tailormade has been growing year on year and now offers travel to more than 30 destinations worldwide.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for travel, with the personality to convey their own experiences to our valuable clients. The role encompasses a hands-on approach where the candidate will be involved in the following;

  • Liaising with clients to plan their perfect trip from beginning to end
  • Providing administrative support for clients’ travel arrangements
  • Participating and supporting events and exhibitions
  • Communicating with some of the world’s leading hotels to improve customer satisfaction and experiences.

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, we are looking for individuals who are creative, a team player and have a passion for travel. In addition, the ability to deliver excellent customer service is paramount. Travel experience is required, the more wanderlust stories you have to tell us the better, and a knowledge of the Muslim consumer is also desirable, although training in this field will be provided.

The candidate must:

  • Be self-motivated to drive processes end to end, and should be able to work independently and within a team.
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Have excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient IT skills on Mac systems as well as MS Office and be comfortable learning new programmes
  • Experience using airline reservation systems (Amadeus) is desirable.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills to provide the best customer service possible
  • Have the determination to convert enquiries into sales
  • Demonstrate patience and diligence when dealing with client and partner requests

The starting basic salary is £18,000 with commission to be earned for sales with on target earnings of £22,000+ per year. Successful candidates will have access to training and must be able to travel abroad as part of the role.
